Where to display testimonials on a coaching website (Squarespace, Linktree, Notion)
Concrete placement examples and embed snippets for the four platforms most coaches use. With screenshots and the exact two lines of code that drop a wall onto your page.

A testimonial nobody sees doesn't convert anybody. The good news: in 2026 you don't need a custom-coded website to display testimonials beautifully. Squarespace, Linktree, Notion, and Webflow all support embedded widgets in two lines of code.
Here's exactly where to place them on each platform, plus the snippets that work.
The four placements that drive bookings
Before we get to the platforms, the four placements that consistently move the needle for coaches are:
- Above the fold on your home page— one strong testimonial, ideally with a face. Builds trust before they read your pitch.
- Mid-sales-page wall— 6–9 testimonials in a grid, between your offer description and your booking CTA.
- Right next to the booking button— one short testimonial that handles the “is this worth it?” question at the moment of decision.
- Dedicated /testimonials page— for SEO and for skeptics who need 20 examples before they trust you.
Squarespace
Squarespace is the most common platform for solo coaches. It supports embeds via the Code Block.
Where to place:
- Home page — insert a Section after your hero, drag in a Code Block.
- Sales page — right above your “Book a Call” button.
- Create a dedicated “Testimonials” page from the Pages panel.
How to embed: Click Edit on the page → Add Section → Add Block → Code. Paste a 2-line embed snippet like this (this is what CrowdNod gives you):
<div data-crowdnod-widget="your-widget-id"></div> <script async src="https://crowdnod.com/widget.js"></script>
Squarespace strips some HTML on the cheaper plans. If your embed doesn't render, check that you're on the Business plan or higher (Code Blocks require it).
Linktree
Linktree is the easiest place to start — if you don't have a website yet, a single Linktree page with one or two embedded testimonial walls converts surprisingly well.
Where to place:
- Use Linktree's Custom HTML block (Linktree Pro) below your booking link.
- Or use the Embed link feature with a hosted widget URL.
Tip: pick a single-quote widget format here, not a wall. Linktree pages are tall and narrow. A wall layout looks cramped.
Notion
More coaches than you'd expect run their public site as a shared Notion page, especially for low-volume practices.
Where to place:
- Use the /embed command, paste your widget URL.
- Or use a Notion-to-website tool (Super, Potion, Feather) that allows custom HTML.
Notion natively renders most embed URLs but doesn't support arbitrary<script>tags — you'll need a hosted iframe URL. CrowdNod provides one for every widget if you're on Pro.
Webflow, Wix, and Carrd
All three support standard 2-line embeds. The placement principles are the same as Squarespace:
- Webflow: drag in an Embed element from the Add panel, paste the snippet.
- Wix: Add → Embed → Custom Code → paste.
- Carrd: Add element → Embed→ paste.
Three common mistakes
- Hiding testimonials at the bottom of the page. Most visitors never scroll that far. Put your strongest one near the top.
- Using stock-looking testimonial cards. Real client photos beat generic avatars every time. Ask for a photo (with consent) when you collect.
- Letting the widget hurt your page speed.Bloated testimonial widgets can add 200–300 ms to your load time. CrowdNod's widget is ~14 KB gzipped and lazy-loaded specifically to avoid this.
Putting it on autopilot
Once your widget is embedded, the goal is to keep it growing without manual work. Set up a post-program email that automatically asks for a testimonial 7 or 14 days after a client's last session, with a link straight to your collection form. New testimonials appear in the widget within seconds — no manual updating, no re-embedding.
That's the entire workflow. Collect once, embed once, never touch it again.
