Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CrowdNod (the “Service”) operated by CrowdNod (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Subscription & Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Access continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; existing subscribers retain their current price for the remainder of their term.
  • If a payment fails, we will retry over a 14-day grace period. If payment is not received by the end of the grace period, your plan reverts to Free.

3. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid subscriptions. To request a refund, email support@crowdnod.com within 14 days of your first paid charge. Refunds do not apply to renewals, additional seats, or partial-month usage.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Collect or display testimonials you did not legitimately receive.
  • Impersonate any person or fabricate testimonials.
  • Harass, defame, or violate the rights of any third party.
  • Upload illegal, infringing, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Send unsolicited bulk email through our campaign features.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service for competing purposes.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or that is submitted through your forms (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for obtaining consent from testimonial submitters and for the lawful basis on which you process their data.

6. AI Features

The Service does not use AI to rewrite, edit, or otherwise alter the text of a submitted testimonial. Limited AI features are available at your request — suggesting collection questions, parsing a pasted LinkedIn recommendation, and generating separate marketing copy from a testimonial — and when you use them, you authorize us to send the relevant text to our AI provider for processing. AI output is generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing and accepting any AI-generated content before publishing or using it.

7. Service Availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the public widget API. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days (recovery window) and then permanently deleted.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity of CrowdNod is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
